I did my research, and I am putting together the BEST results in one post.
The first article I read was The Dangers of High Fructose Corn Syrup by Kevin Millard on HealthMad.com. First off, it explained WHAT HFCS IS! It says:
HFCS is not the run of the mill corn syrup found on the grocery store
shelf, nor is it the fructose naturally found in fruits and honey. HFCS is a
highly refined clear liquid derived from corn starch. Food manufactures love to
use it because of its long shelf life an it’s relative low cost.
Well, that is what it is, but why is it bad for us!?
There are many experiments that have been tested on various animals, all proving to end up fatal for the animals fed HFCS.
In one experiment 1/2 of the lab rats were fed food with HFCS in it, and 1/2 were fed food without it. The half that was fed it, died within a month, caused by MAJOR swelling in major organs.
This shows that us humans have to be effected by this "cheap" product, so commonly used in the food we need to eat!
There are some food stores such as "Whole Foods" and "Trader Joes" that make sure their foods have no HFCS or MSG, which is why we need to try to shop there as much as possible! Here is the store locator for Whole Foods, and Trader Joes!
Once again, if you can't shop at these locations, it is OKAY! Just remember to write local stores to convince them to follow these rules too!
