Starbucks is coming through for us!

I recently went to a Starbucks, and to my suprise I read something very interesting on the window.  Here is what I read, well in an expanded verson, straight from Their Website!

Real food. Simply delicious.

Also when was at the store I read the window (it didn't say it online);

I was just amazed!!! I doubt this is just out of the good hearts of the owners, IT WAS BECAUSE OF YOU! Everyone wrote to Strarbucks when it came out that there was MSG in their cofee, and now, THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM!

HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!!!

There are literaly THOUSANDS of articles on the internet talking about High Fructose Corn Syrup, or HFCS. If you think I am exagerating, just google HFCS, there are more than 530,000 results! It is over whelming!
I did my research, and I am putting together the BEST results in one post.

The first article I read was The Dangers of High Fructose Corn Syrup by Kevin Millard on HealthMad.com. First off, it explained WHAT HFCS IS! It says:

HFCS is not the run of the mill corn syrup found on the grocery store
shelf, nor is it the fructose naturally found in fruits and honey. HFCS is a
highly refined clear liquid derived from corn starch. Food manufactures love to
use it because of its long shelf life an it’s relative low cost.

Well, that is what it is, but why is it bad for us!?
There are many experiments that have been tested on various animals, all proving to end up fatal for the animals fed HFCS.
In one experiment 1/2 of the lab rats were fed food with HFCS in it, and 1/2 were fed food without it. The half that was fed it, died within a month, caused by MAJOR swelling in major organs.
This shows that us humans have to be effected by this "cheap" product, so commonly used in the food we need to eat!


There are some food stores such as "Whole Foods" and "Trader Joes" that make sure their foods have no HFCS or MSG, which is why we need to try to shop there as much as possible! Here is the store locator for Whole Foods, and Trader Joes!

Once again, if you can't shop at these locations, it is OKAY! Just remember to write local stores to convince them to follow these rules too!

Burt's Bees, NEW PRODUCT!

I needed some more Burt's Bees face wash, so I went to the local store to find it. Unfortunately I did not find the exact one I was looking for, but I found another one PLUS I found "Naturally Nourishing Milk & Shea Butter Hand Soap"!!!

GROCERY STORE!

Yesterday I was at the local grocery store named "Bashas" and I saw an isle titled "Chips". I wasn't sure why they had this one because they have another isle just two rows over... I walked down the isle and saw "Organic" on all of the bags! I found that all 4 of these "half-rows" were ORGANIC NO MSG- NO ARTIFICIALLY ANYTHING (or simply) GREEN ROWS!! I was SO AMAZED that my local grocery store had a GREEN isle! If you don't live in AZ and don't have a Bashas or any other grocery store that has a green isle, WRITE THEM!!! Make it known to them that we are serious about it and we want it! Tell them that this is important to you, and perhaps if we get enough people to do so, we can get them to do it!!! SEE there IS power in numbers!

1st post, YaY

Hi! This is the first post of the blog, this is where I basically complain about the "greenness" of everyday products at everyday stores, hopefully you can learn something!!

Well let's start!

Today I was at walmart and we were buying fried chicken for dinner and there were two brands, crapmart brand or someother kind. I read both ingredient lists and to my "surprise" walmart brand did have MSGin it, the other one didn't! I also discovered that the walmart patato salad had it!

If you are not aware of all of the dangers of MSG, LOOK IT UP!!! There are so many dangers I decided to stop eating anything with it!

BTW if you couldn't tell, I DO not like walmart!
